Girls Will Be Girls

"Girls Will Be Girls" is a mock marketing campaign/ art installation created in class by my group and I: Shannon Kha, and Ariel Quinteros.

Our project idea began with the concept of intersecting community with femininity. Taking a closer look at what feminity and the feminine gaze meant to us as well as reaching out to the UCSD community, we wanted to find and highlight diverse models to showcase their own personal stories, journeys, and perspectives on this topic.

Our goal was to reflect more on how we feel about these deeper topics and how we feel as women during these times—in an age of pervasive media. This project gave us the opportunity to redefine and take back control of how we want to and should be naturally perceived—as we are.
