I’m a designer based in California. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BS in Cognitive Science, Interaction and Design and a BA in Visual Arts, Media.
I believe in design that is intuitive, usable, and backed up by the metrics and solid research. I enjoy creating designs that spark delight and whimsy.
My design process is a study in opposites, fully embracing mess, iteration, and divergent thinking with output that is sleek and polished. I'm drawn to designing by the lived human experience, making life easier, automating the tedious and leaving room to work on the complex, creative, and intriguing problems that need the human touch.
Things that inspire my processes are analog technology, virus art, archival film and digital media, and old school print processes.
I'm a lover of early 2000’s media, oolong tea steeped just right, the color of dusk, and horror comics. Recently obsessing over Sylvia Plath's fig tree analogy, the distinction between art vs artist, indie sleaze jams, and the application of AI tools from bread sorting to cancer cell detection.
I'm all about the little joys and an occasional sweet treat.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me! :-)
